I know it's been said before by me and by many others, but it continues to be true that the spirit of education and community inspired by TEXSOM simply cannot be overstated. The greatest people and strongest connections I've made can almost all be traced back to TEXSOM. So, while I'm honored to be a part of it each year, it's as much necessity as anything at this point. It refocuses, reinvigorates, and always finds a way to show me what I need to see, year after year. I truly don't think I'd be the sommelier I am today without it.
- Matthew P. Dulle - Beverage Director, Lazy Bear, San Francisco, CA
The development of TEXSOM, TEXSOM IWA and the Sommelier Retreat continues to raise the bar for the wine industry, and the efforts to reinvest in the future of the sommelier profession is a benchmark of mentorship.

We enjoyed our TEXSOM experience enormously, what a super great event! What I liked a lot is the professionalism of the organization and the seminars all wrapped up in great friendship and humor. This event is fabulous in many ways. It is well organized and very professionally run. The seminars are all well prepared and very informative….A huge thank you to all the organizers who work hard to make this event so special and unique in the fine wine world.

I love TEXSOM. It is a terrific event. It isn't just that it allows participants to be a part of a vibrant wine scene of its own, it is also that TEXSOM helped found and connect that scene. It is a significant event for anyone who wants to understand the full potential of the American wine market.
- Levi Dalton, Host, “I’ll Drink To That!” Podcast
It’s my great pleasure to coordinate the volunteer team at TEXSOM each year. I cannot express how much I have learned from my peers and how precious the experiences have been during this conference. Without TEXSOM, I cannot say if I would be where I am today in my career.
- June Rodil, MS, Partner, Goodnight Hospitality
Volunteering at TEXSOM is one of the highlights of my year. From the first second you are surrounded by talent at the top of our industry. Everyone is there to learn, to teach and to enjoy what has grown to become the ultimate event of the beverage industry.

What an event! TEXSOM is the most impressive wine event in the world…It’s a place that you’ll casually bump into industry icons from California, Burgundy, Piedmont, Germany, Champagne, Tuscany, the Rhone, Douro, Rioja, and any other famed wine region in the world. That doesn’t begin to list all the Master Sommeliers, Masters of Wine, famous writers, wine critics, and elite Beverage Directors there too. It is just incredible and the one place you geek out with ALL your wine peeps for a few days a year.

All week, from glass polishing to spit bucket dumping while sitting in on amazing seminars; I did it with family. We choose to have an epic family reunion each year, and the ‘little conference that could’ (and did) brings us together. We learn, taste, and connect with the best.

TEXSOM provides nourishing, high-level content that is up-to-date and relevant to wine and spirits industry professionals. It does this more successfully than any other industry conference that I have attended recently, and its success is largely down to the great care that the organisers put into selected topics and speakers.
- Antony Moss, MW, Director of Strategic Planning, WSET
As a wine professional originally from a smaller market, TEXSOM was a revelation. The educational and networking opportunities are unparalleled and transformative. I simply wouldn't be where I am in my development and career without them.
